The Community Development Division will be launching a Community Volunteering Project in the year 2010 geared towards mobilising hundreds of volunteers in the various sectors across the country. The project will comprise of four different segments which included Volunteer Antigua, Volunteer Barbuda, Community Service Award, and Community Student Service Award. According to Director of the Community Development Division (CDD) Brenda Odlum, the volunteers will be awarded certificates on the completion of one hundred hours of community involvement. She also encouraged both the staff at the division and residents on the island to get involved with the Activities and Projects of the Ministry by educating Antiguans and Barbudans on the importance of Community Service and to encourage them to make a difference. |
